Rieting time 'haiku'

Here is another poem that I'm not too proud of. This meeting was to write a hiaku. It sounds easy, but it is not. The rules of a hiaku;
A hiaku consists of three lines with a 5-7-5 syllable pattern.

Sounds almost too easy, right? bah!! I had a very hard time writing one.
And here it is.

warm sun rays settle
underneath orange and thin lids
seeing through closed eyes

Loveliness. As always.

We're still on for tomorrow (Tues.) night, right? Please do not mind our incredibly disastrous house! Let me just say it has been a wild/busy past few days and we've not been home long enough to clean it all up...just home to make the mess.

See ya!
